Smart Civil Construction

The members of Smart Civil Construction contacted Wrappa for assistance after they experienced a few failed attempts to develop a brand identity for their startup company. Smart Civil Construction Logo
Competitor research
We initially conducted research in the civil construction industry to define the competitors and their offerings to ensure that the Smart Civil Construction brand positioning was appropriate.

Brand personality and values
Wrappa then developed a brand personality, and set of values for the brand, as well as defining an ethos, which would be used internally to align staff behaviour and moral.

The underlining ethos of Smart Civil Construction is people, planet and performance .

The ethos roughly expressed is about caring for community, the planet and ensuring a good work ethic and quality product

Brand Identity
We then tackled the brand identity, which needed to reflect the brand personality as well as what the brand would be offering - civil construction services.

The colour green was selected as it was identified as a colour not being utilized in the construction industry.

Green also represents growth, which is what the Smart Civil Construction team will be doing - building and growing South Africa, one brick at a time.

The logo

The brand mark (logo) symbolizes two people shaking hands, which is meant to be a subtle reference to partnerships.
